Weeks 13 & 14 Discussion

Q Instructions: After you've made your post, please reply to at least two of your colleagues' posts. Your post should be submitted by Thursday and your responses by Sunday. Discussion Prompt on Grace: Grace is granting forgiveness or putting aside our own needs when there is no standard that says we should or must do so. Grace is unrequired kindness and it involves letting go of anger, blame and judgements about another and what they did. Grace is given without strings and is essential in respectful relationships. Have you been in relationships (friends, family, romantic) in which you felt there was grace? What did that look like to you? How was grace communicated and what was its impact? Do you find it easy to demonstrate grace to others (friends, family, romantic)? Why or why not? Evaluation: This discussion is worth up to 20 points. Discussion posts and responses that are well developed and inline with the assigned content tend to earn more credit. • Post: up to 6 points for original thought, contribution or perspective not previously posted. • Post: up to 6 points for development of thought such as a full explanation, detail, insight; this usually requires a couple of paragraphs or more to accomplish. • Responses: up to 4 points for each response to the posting of others, spread throughout the week. I feel like in romance, family, friends, there is grace in all of those types of relationships. For me particularly, I choose the topic of friends. I chose this because it’s more likely that everyone has friends, some people aren’t always in romance. So with friends, I feel like sometimes we meet people that are very similar like us, and sometimes we meet people who aren’t like us but with friends there is always a in between sacrifice at times.
